Perfect for busy weeknights, last-minute gatherings, or anytime you want a quick treat that tastes homemade and impressive.
Ingredients
- 5–6 cups Ruffles Potato Chips, use the classic variety for best flavor and texture
- 5 cups mini marshmallows, or regular marshmallows cut into small pieces
- 4 tablespoons butter, unsalted or salted, depending on your preference
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract, optional, for extra depth
- 1 pinch sea salt, optional, to enhance the sweet-salty contrast
- Cooking spray, for greasing your pan
Instructions
- Melt the Butter and Marshmallows: In a large pot or Dutch oven over medium heat, combine the butter and marshmallows, stirring frequently until completely melted and smooth, about 3-4 minutes. Be careful not to scorch the mixture.
- Combine with Chips: Remove the pot from heat and gently fold in the Ruffles chips until they are evenly coated with the marshmallow mixture, about 1-2 minutes. Work quickly so the chips stay crispy and don't get crushed.
- Press into Pan: Lightly grease a 9×13 inch baking pan with cooking spray. Pour the mixture into the prepared pan and use the back of a greased spatula to press gently and evenly into an even layer, about 2-3 minutes.
- Cool and Cut: Allow the treats to cool at room temperature for 15-20 minutes, then cut into squares or rectangles with a greased knife. Serve immediately or store for later.
