SO GOOD!! An Easy Party Snack For Adults (Jalapeno Cream Cheese Pinwheels)

  • Total Time: 30 minutes
  • Yield: 12 servings

Description

These Jalapeno Cream Cheese Pinwheels feature a creamy, spicy filling of softened cream cheese and diced jalapeños rolled up in buttery crescent roll dough and baked until golden. They’re the perfect party appetizer for adults who love bold flavors, requiring just four simple ingredients and minimal prep time.

Ingredients

  • 1 tube Pillsbury crescent rolls, 8 ounce
  • 6 ounces cream cheese, softened to room temperature
  • 3/4 cup diced jalapeños, 4 ounce can, adjust for your spicy preference
  • 1 tablespoon sugar
  • Optional add-ins, garlic powder, cumin, cilantro, or shredded cheddar cheese

Instructions

  1. Combine Cream Cheese and Sugar: In a small bowl, mix the softened cream cheese with the sugar until smooth and well blended, about 1 minute of stirring.
  2. Add Jalapeños: Fold the diced jalapeños into the cream cheese mixture, stirring gently until they are evenly distributed throughout.
  3. Optional Seasonings: If using garlic powder, cumin, cilantro, or cheddar, stir them in now until fully combined.
  4. Unroll the Crescent Dough: Remove the crescent roll tube from the package and carefully unroll it, then press the perforated lines together to form one large rectangle of dough.
  5. Spread the Filling: Using a spatula or knife, spread the cream cheese mixture evenly across the entire surface of the dough, leaving about a quarter inch around the edges.
  6. Roll Tightly: Starting from one long end, roll the dough up as tightly as possible, then use a sharp knife to slice the roll into half-inch thick pinwheels.
  7. Bake: Place the pinwheels on a parchment-lined baking sheet and bake at 375 degrees Fahrenheit for 12 to 15 minutes, until the edges are golden brown and the filling is heated through.
  8. Cool and Serve: Allow the pinwheels to cool for 2 to 3 minutes on the baking sheet before transferring them to a serving platter.
